BC Hike: Sunset at Caribou Ranch Open Space

these hikes volunteer naturalists interpret each park's history,
geology, ecosystems, plants and wildlife. Sunset hikes involve about 2
miles of moderate hiking. An adult must accompany children and no pets
are permitted.

BC Seniors Hike

Nature Hike for Seniors
Caribou Ranch Open Space; 2 miles north of Nederland on County Road 126; meet at parking lot kiosk. The last Thursday of every month, Boulder County Parks and Open Space hosts a nature hike for seniors at a county park. BC Hike: Flora and Fauna of Mud Lake

Mud Lake Open Space; 2 miles north of Nederland on County Road 126; meet at parking lot kiosk. Escape the summer heat and join volunteer naturalists Nancy Beaudrot, Therese Pieper and Leslie Larson for a moderate 2-mile hike through scenic open space. We'll discuss the ways animals survive and thrive and how to identify various trees, shrubs and wildflowers.  We'll end our hike at a spectacular site for a picnic! Bring binoculars if you have them.

BC Hike: Wildflowers of Caribou Ranch

Caribou Ranch Open Space; 2 miles north of Nederland on County Road 126; meet at parking lot kiosk. Escape the summer heat and enjoy beautiful wildflowers! We will hike about 2 miles through the montane forests and meadows, identifying and learning about the wildflowers as we go. Participants should be prepared to hike at an elevation of about 8,500 feet and bring a rain poncho and drinking water.

High Peaks Art Festival

The 9th Annual High Peaks Art Festival will be held June 27-28, from 10am - 5pm each day, in Nederland's Town Square. Over 45 artists have been juried to exhibit their fine art and contemporary crafts. Works will include painting, jewelry, pottery, fiber, metal sculpture and much more.  More info at Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce.

Fireworks Fundraiser

The Flash Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Fireworks Fundraiser Car Wash on June 13, from 10am - 3pm, behind Blue Owl Books.  The fireworks are partially funded by Town of Nederland Economic Development funds.

Boulder County: Wildflowers of Mud Lake

Mud Lake Open Space; 2 miles north of Nederland on County Road 126; meet at parking lot  kiosk. Celebrate the beginning of summer by searching for the first wildflowers of the season. We will hike about 2 easy miles through the beautiful montane forests and meadows at Mud Lake, learning about the flowers as we go. Participants should be prepared to hike at an elevation of  about 8,500 feet.

Annual Town Clean-Up Day

Annual Town of Nederland clean-up day.  Bring your junk to the wastewater treatment site across from the post office.  No household bagged trash allowed.
