The Nederland skatepark is hosting a benefit to help build a skatepark in nearby Ward.  Sponsored by Ward Trustee Wade Henderson, the fun will include music, skating contests, and a barbeque.  Come on by and support our neighbor Town's efforts!

The Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration in the best German tradition on First Street. Come enjoy the live music, beer, and a home-brewer's competition. Lots of good fun to be had by all!

Teens Inc. is hosting another wonderfulfamily day activity on Guercio Ballfield. Windfest is an afternoon of kitemaking and kiteflying for kids of all ages! Come down to the ballfield and enjoy the kites! It's fun, it's colorful, and it's FREE!

The Town of Nederland has joined Boulder County and Transition Colorado in urging citizens to participate in Eat Local! Week!

The Board of Trustees recently approved a proclamation in support of Eat Local! Week - an opportunity for Boulder County citizens to explore and celebrate the abundance of local food, highlighting local family farms and farmers’ markets, along with the restaurants, grocers, and organizations which support them. The BOT's proclamation is attached below.

The Nederland Community Center and Marilu Fischer invite you to two days of free Tango & Salsa classes! Marilu Fischer is an Argentine Choreographer and Tango Touristic Ambassador. The classes will be assisted by Robert Groothius from the Netherlands.

Classes are Thursday August 19th & Monday August 23rd.

Kids 6-12) 5 - 6pm

The BOT & the Nederland Chamber of Commerce will be holding a joint workshop at the Nederland Community Center.

Boulder County will be opening the Nederland Area Community Forestry Sort Yard on Saturday August 21, 2010 at 286 Ridge Road and hosting a "Grand Opening" from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.

In January 2010, the Town of Nederland commissioned a survey of registered voters in order to gauge citizen satisfaction with Town services and collect feedback and comments regarding future priorities that should be undertaken by the Town staff, Mayor, and Board of Trustees.
