Nederland, Colorado is a picturesque mountain town 15 miles west of Boulder in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. As the "gateway to the Indian Peaks", it provides some of the best outdoor recreation in Colorado. Eldora Ski Area is just minutes away, and both an Olympic-sized outdoor ice/tennis park and skateboard park are within walking distance. It's also home to a great mountain music scene. Come visit the shops and dine at the friendly cafes and restaurants or participate in Nedfest or Miner's Days. Come run in the Neder-Nederland or take a tour of the Mining Museum. You'll see that life is better up here!

- Trash and Recycling: Boulder County has a transfer station on Ridge Rd. for trash drop-off and recycling. Alternatively, home trash pick-up is provided by private companies.
- Telephone: Qwest has the local franchise for land line telephone. Cellular service is available in only some parts of Nederland. VOIP is known to work over local wireless internet providers as well.
- Internet: There are a number of local wireless internet providers. Qwest offers DSL. Satellite systems are also available.
- Water and Sewer: The Town Public Works Department provides water and sewer service to most of Nederland.
- Television: Satellite systems and free, over the air broadcasts are available. The cable franchise is operated by Rocky Mountain Cable.
- Electricity and Natural Gas: Xcel has the electricity and natural gas franchise.
Schools
Nederland has both an elementary school and a combined middle/high school. Both are within walking distance of town.
