Candidate Information

The Town of Nederland’s regular municipal election will be conducted as a regular paper ballot election. The designated polling place for all precincts within the Town’s limits will be the Nederland Community Center (located at 750 Hwy 72), with voting hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The ballot will ask voters to consider candidates for the mayoral position as well as four Trustee positions.

Nomination Petitions are available below for candidates. A nomination petition CANNOT be circulated until February 15, 2010. The 15th is President's Day and Town Hall will be closed. You can pick up paper copies at Town Hall beginning Feb. 12, 2010.

If a candidate chooses to accept outside contributions for campaigning purposes (resources other than candidate’s personal funds), he/she must comply with the Fair Campaign Practices Act’s reporting requirements which stipulate that the necessary forms be filed in duplicate in the office of the Nederland Town Clerk immediately following the occurrence of the contribution.
